As I was outside fertilizing the roses this evening, my trusty little friend was following around behind me, trying to distract me with her ball. Of course that would be much more fun, but alas... there was work to be done!
Then... IT happened... The no good, very bad thing... Those little yellow and black stripey chase toys that she loves to catch with her paws and mangle to death (WASPS!), finally won a battle. She knew it was going to happen one day as she teases the heck out of them daily, she just wished it hadn't happend so soon.
Ginger knew what had happened the moment she was stung, yelped and burned rubber at record speed, racing for the garden doors to the house... as if that was going to stop the stinging. Poor puppy!
I tried putting a cool compress on it, but she keeps hiding from me. Her eyes look so sad, and you can tell she's in a lot of pain as she is limping around. Poor little thing. Hope she's feeling better in the morning.
Yep... a blog about a wasp sting. That's about as lively as it gets around here!
Till next time!

Candy, you know I'm not much of a dog person, but Ginger is so cute I can't help but just love her sweet face!
By the way, I mentioned a wasp sting in a blog entry I wrote last September, so you're not alone. :)
